FRACTIONATED CO2 LASER REJUVENATION

Laser resurfacing is a procedure to treat sun damaged skin, fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, uneven coloration, textural irregularities, thinned collagen, acne scars, and OVERALL skin rejuvenation.

Fractional CO2 Resurfacing removes vertical columns of tissue involving the epidermis and dermis. The light from the LASER treats a spot in the area to be treated, causing vaporization of the tissue and leaving skin surrounding each column intact. The laser causes a wound and a healing process is stimulated a leading to formation of new collagen, remodeling the dermis, and new epidermal cells. In traditional resurfacing, ALL of the treatment area is resurfaced without leaving intact tissue so the healing response is slow. In fractionated resurfacing, the treatment is done in columns or spots and leaving intact columns of tissue in between treated tissue. This intact tissue accelerates the wound healing process making it easier healing and little downtime.

Requires a previous evaluation of the skin and pre & post treatment medications to ensure proper healing and more comfort during the healing process and better results with little down time of 3-4 days up to 7 days.
